Arts Management Placement Programme – Yorkshire region

  • Want to work in arts management but not sure how to start out?

  • Are you a disabled person or do you come from a culturally diverse background?

  • Are you based in (or close to) Yorkshire?

If you can answer yes to the questions above, there is a new placement programme that might be just what you are looking for to kick start your career in the dance, literature or music sector.

We have now recruited for five paid and supported work placements at Ilkley Literature Festival, Yorkshire Dance, Opera North, Peepal Tree Press or Balbir Singh Dance Company.

Watch this space for information on how the programme develops.

Why?

There are disproportionately fewer disabled people and those from culturally diverse communities working in management roles within the arts sector. This is particularly the case in the fields of literature, dance and music within Yorkshire. Arts Council England, Yorkshire is funding these targeted placements to help readdress this imbalance.

We equally welcomed all those from all black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
