Ever thought about working in the media? Here's an opportunity for you;

Do you have a real interest in the media industry? Have you demonstrated your passion by getting work experience or creating your own content?

Do you consider yourself to be disabled or have a long-term health condition?*

If yes, apply to join the BBC in London on Thursday 25th February 2010 for a day's insight into this industry and the many different career opportunities open to you.

You'll have the chance to:

Meet industry staff and find out about their experiences Hear about the various work experience and training schemes you can apply for at the BBC Ask questions to a panel of inspiration people with disabilities Get tips on C.Vs and applying for jobs Apply to be matched with a BBC mentor

*Applicants should have a recognized impairment under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 2005 - this includes dyslexia and long-term health conditions.

After the workshop on 25th February, selected participants will be matched with a BBC member of staff who will act as their mentor throughout the project. The mentor-mentee relationship is confidential, providing one-to-one mentoring, giving support to the participants, and offering career advice. Both mentees and mentors get valuable experience from the project and gain inspiration from sharing knowledge and expertise.
