A good leader is passionate about his/her subject - often able to hold the delegates' attention with very few notes or bullet points using various methods of communication (ie flip charts, handouts, OHP etc). You have to be a good orator and be able to keep the audience's attention with eye contact and speaking loudly and clearly enough.

I find that I don't always have as much strength as non disabled leaders so can only give a presentation for a limited time.

The barriers to leadership for us are summed up by 'I am not a label or diagnosis, I'm a person'.
